Host: Indie Over 50

John Huggart is the host of Indie, Over 50, a platform championing independent music and proving that artistic reinvention has no expiration date. Parallel to broadcasting, John is an active force in the indie music scene, releasing original tracks under the moniker Project Reverb and serving as a director for Listen Up Music—an Australian charity devoted to musicians’ mental health. These dual roles as a presenter and recording artist allow him to connect with the global music community from both sides of the microphone, proving the creative drive remains vital at any stage of life.

Before stepping into the media landscape, John built a distinguished corporate career, navigating CEO and senior executive roles. Today, he maintains a portfolio career spanning industry, corporate, and advisory board roles. Despite his professional success, John’s greatest fulfillment comes from his rich personal life; he is happily married with two children, and recently welcomed the joyful addition of a grandchild. Ultimately, John’s journey beautifully bridges the structured discipline of his corporate expertise with the boundless energy of a creative, community-minded, and family-focused present.
